Purpose of the Job

Specify/design and develop software and support the Product Engineering in finding the best implementation strategies. Support in SW delivery and support Product Manager in finding the ICONIS TMS software strategies. Support the installation and configuration of TMS in collaboration with Configuration Manager and Product Architect.


  • Design and develop components/parts of ICONIS Mainline Product, contribute for specifing system/product specification & architecture, in collaboration with the Product and Software Architects
  • Perform Software and Software Integration activities
  • Contribute to define the software architecture
  • Support in defining the main technical choices for SW development

Educational Requirements

Educated to University Degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering.

Technical Knowledge / Experience

Traffic Management Systems provide to railway operators advanced automation and decision support functions  to plan, regulate, automate and optimize the train traffic circulation on complex network.

These systems are based on special software application, normally running on IT infrastructure/datacenter specially designed for business continuity and mission critical application.


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in complex software developments based on Windows Systems;
  • knowledge of software programming languages and technologies (C#, WCF, WPF, MS-SQL);
  • Experiences of working with .NET Framework and in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and Hyper-V environments;
  • Knowledge of IT architectures (client/server, IP networking, routing and SQL databases.);
  • Knowledge of XSD/XML/XSLT, Scada Application;
  • Fluent in English
  • Available to short business trips abroad 


  • Knowledge of design patterns, IBM Synergy, CENELEC standards, IT architectures and Railway systems;
  • Basic knowledge of French
