We are looking for a intern to support our team as Data Scientist for Mainline Infrastructure Capacity Optimization Program.

OBJECTIVES OF THE MISSION:

We are looking for an intern for our Alstom TMS (Traffic Management System) department. Within the team of Mainline infrastructure Capacity Optimization Program, your objectives will be to review and assess the state of the art Machine Learning technologies to be potentially adopted in the railway domain in particular in the train mainline context with the aim to optimize the usage of the network and focus on specific pain points of our customers.

The objective is to identify, through deep analysis, the most suitable technology for mainline operational scenarios that could bring a value to Infrastructure Managers in the railway domain. Such analysis will consider both technical and business aspects and will include the need to benchmark the identified technologies towards what is currently used in urban-metro domain in synergy with other Alstom departments.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MISSION:

You will be in charge of the following tasks:

• Review of state of art of AI-based machine learning technologies suitable for railway mainline domain.
• Deep analysis of customer needs.
• Definition with the Team of use cases based on customer needs.
• Criteria and KPI definition  (technical and business based) for main use cases selection.

PROFILE:

Educational level: Bachelor Degree

Technical skills: Machine Learning, Computer science, French language is a plus to interface with some AI centers in Saint Ouen, Paris.

Behavioral skills: Strong motivation, teamwork, creativity.

Duration:  6 months
