Could you be the full-time Welding Monitor in Boksburg we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your welding expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless industrialization of new projects and supporting the team in achieving excellence. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as production, quality, and project management teams), conduct workstation inspections, and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with welding standards, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of supervising the application of World Class Manufacturing at the project level and supporting the qualification of welding processes, but also assist in training operators and providing technical support to the project team.
We’ll look to you for:

Participating in the industrialization phase of new projects

Providing technical support to project teams under the responsibility of the Welding Expert

Defining qualification plans, performing associated tests, and preparing conclusion reports

Supervising the application of World Class Manufacturing at the project level through audits and inspections

Assisting production by monitoring the realization of first assemblies until serial-GO
-
Carrying out controls and workstation inspections by delegation of the expert

Training operators under the guidance of the Welding Expert

Managing welding qualifications in collaboration with the welding school

Being a proactive participant in cross-functional teams

Grade 12 / Matric
-
IWS/EWS certificate or IWP/EWP certificate, or a qualified welder with additional technical knowledge about welding standards and technologies

Strong knowledge in welding, demonstrated through experience

Experience in the welding environment (5+ years preferred)

Proficiency in World Class Manufacturing practices

Ability to work autonomously and transparently with experts

Experience in training or explaining technical concepts (desirable)

Strong technical skills in the welding field of expertise (desirable)
