Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in welding coordination in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring excellence in welding processes across our operations. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including project teams and quality assurance teams), mitigate risks of non-quality in welding processes, and provide technical support at the local level, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of deploying metier rules and tools at the site level to improve welding processes, but also lead quality initiatives and manage crises related to welding as they arise.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating welding activities in compliance with ISO 15085 standards

  • Participating in defining metier rules and deploying them at the site level

  • Providing local technical support to project teams

  • Leading quality crises related to welding and implementing pragmatic solutions

  • Mitigating risks of non-quality through risk analysis tools and validation processes

  • Ensuring production surveys and addressing quality issues by identifying root causes and defining action plans

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Engineering degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering

  • Training and qualification by a third party for Welding – International Welding Technologist / Engineer (IWT/IWE)

  • Extensive knowledge of EN/ISO standards (e.g., EN ISO 9606, EN ISO 15085, ISO 3834, ISO 9712)

  • 10+ years of experience in welding coordination

  • Experience in the rail sector (desirable)

  • Proven ability to support, train, and resolve complex welding-related challenges

  • Strong track record of achievements in the field of welding

Things you’ll enjoy Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Work with the latest standards for rail welding and quality assurance

  • Collaborate with transverse teams and helpful colleagues

  • Contribute to innovative projects that make a real difference in mobility

  • Utilise our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards becoming a recognized welding specialist or other leadership roles
