Could you be the full-time Logistics Manager in Boksburg we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your logistics expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative, dynamic, and forward-thinking team.

You'll ensure the seamless operation of logistics teams, including warehouse, logistics engineering, and transport, while optimizing flows to align physical and system processes. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Supply Chain, Sourcing, Finance, Quality, and Manufacturing), lead continuous improvement initiatives, and foster a culture of safety and sustainability.

You’ll specifically take care of aligning physical and system flows and optimizing transportation costs, but also oversee the deployment of Alstom’s Production System (APSYS) roadmap.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
  • Implementing standard processes in compliance with the Logistics Handbook
  • Optimizing warehousing, packaging, and physical flows using Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Guaranteeing ERP solution implementation and data accuracy
  • Monitoring and reporting key performance indicators like inventory accuracy and cycle counting
  • Managing and aligning the logistics workforce, skills, and training
  • Overseeing 3PL (Third Party Logistics) activities and performance
  • Promoting recycling activities, including bin management and returnable packaging

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Industrial fields
  • Experience in logistics and warehouse management (3-5 years minimum)
  • Proven track record in team management (5 years minimum)
  • Knowledge of industrial fields and material planning
  • Familiarity with SAP (WM and IM modules)
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
  • Strategic and methodical thinking
  • Proficiency in English (mandatory)
  • Ability to manage risks and solve problems effectively
  • An agile, inclusive, and responsible attitude
