Could you be the full-time Industrial Planning Manager in Boksburg we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your industrial planning expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside proactive, collaborative, and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in ensuring the alignment of demand (both firm and forecast) with resources (manufacturing and procurement), helping us deliver on our commitment to quality, cost, and delivery while optimizing the site’s resources. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Manufacturing, Testing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance), ensure adherence to industrial planning processes, and provide visibility on planning progress, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of managing the team of industrial planners and supporting their daily activities, but also contribute to the APSYS (Alstom Performance System) roadmap related to industrial planning topics.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Ensuring that Industrial Planning Golden Rules & processes are applied
  • Driving the achievement of Industrial Planning KPIs
  • Managing the team of industrial planners, including resource allocation and competency development
  • Supporting the execution of industrial planning and monitoring production progress
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in ERP/Core Planning Tools
  • Providing data and feasible scenarios for the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process


All about you

  • Engineering Degree (Preferably Industrial), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or Supply Chain Degree
  • 10 years experience in demand and supply planning (industrial planning)
  • 5+ years people management experience
  • Knowledgeable of End-to-End (E2E) vision for Industrial Planning processes and their impact on ERP systems
  • Strong scheduling basics knowledge
  • Familiarity with Core Planning Tools, ERP systems, and Excel
  • Good level of English
  • Proven communication and collaborative skills
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to synthesize critical issues and propose innovative solutions
