Could you be the full-time Vice President for Services CNE Region based in Berlin we’re looking for?
Step into a strategic leadership role that will impact the performance and transformation of our Services business across our CNE Region. You will report to the President of the CNE Region and work closely with passionate, motivated and collaborative teams across Bids, Projects, Operations, Finance and Central Services.
The focus will be to lead and continuously assess & follow up Services Business activities in the CNE region.
- Driving and deploying the CNE Services strategy
- Leading P&L performance (order intake, sales, margin, cash)
- Strengthening tender governance, commercial excellence and customer satisfaction
- Building capabilities, developing talent, and aligning teams across countries
Your future role will require you to:
- Develop and implement the Regional strategy, supported mainly by Region SVP, Strategy Department and Platforms.
- Support the business growth by delivering on sales, orders, profit, margin and cash as per agreed budget for the country or cluster.
- Ensure alignment to Corporate, Transport and Services management decisions, procedures and guidelines.
- Support the Delivery on sales, orders, profit and cash as per agreed budget, supplemented by Customer Directors and Services Operation. Heads for existing clients and
- Business Development for new clients.
- Engage in Validation and follow up key decisions with direct/indirect impact on country/cluster profit & loss.
- Maintain budgets for managed entity as well as the individual projects it takes on and monitor costs against budget.
- Review monthly KPIs and Balanced Score Cards.
- Review and processes Sales Incentive Plan.
- Ensure efficient interface management with Regional Centers in the country or cluster.
- Provide all necessary support to clusters for Bids & Projects execution, Resourcing, Competency management.
- Ensure local coordination through regular meetings with other Regions or Central functions representatives to make sure Alstom policies and processes are understood and applied (i.e., People Management Cycle, EHS).
With a dedicated and detailed knowledge of:
- Safety and Integrity - Act as a role model for EHS, ethics, and governance, ensuring consistent application of corporate policies, standards, and leadership behaviours to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of people and assets across all countries and clusters
- Strategic Leadership and Direction - Lead the Services agenda across the CNE region by setting clear strategic direction, translating regional and group priorities into focused, executable plans, and ensuring alignment across countries, clusters, and metiers
- Influence Financial Performance and Commercial Outcomes - Partner with regional and country business leaders to shape and influence financial outcomes, drive order intake, quality, margin improvement, cash discipline, and sustainable growth through strong commercial judgment, data driven insights, and rigorous performance conversations
- Commercial and Risk Leadership - Drive tender, bid, and commercial strategic plan, applying critical thinking to assess risk, challenge assumptions, negotiate outcomes, and guide decision making that protects long term value and regional performance
- Operational Leadership and Performance Excellence - Provide visible leadership across Services operations, influencing and collaborating with all metiers to ensure performance delivery and consistent execution, operational resilience, and continuous improvement across the region
- Cross Functional and Organisational Leadership - Drive strong cross functional collaboration across Product Lines, Bids, Projects, Operations, Finance, Metiers, and Central Functions, aligning stakeholders, removing barriers, and enabling organisational success at scale
- People Leadership and Talent Development - Lead, inspire, and develop diverse leadership teams by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and building a high performance culture focused on capability development, succession, engagement, and retention
- Communication - Communicate with clarity and impact at all levels, adapting leadership style to influence outcomes, manage complexity and conflict, actively listen, and guide teams through change with empathy and confidence
- Innovation, Agility and Continuous Improvement - Promote an innovative, adaptable mindset across the Services organisation, encouraging new ways of working, continuous improvement, and proactive responses to evolving customer, market, and operational challenges
- Transformation Leadership for Services Growth - Drive regional decision making and action to accelerate Services growth, influencing, educating and constructively challenging peers and senior leaders to align missions, initiatives, and organisational structures in support of Services success
About you

- A graduate degree in Engineering or Business Management
- 10–15 years of experience in the Transport, Automobile, Heavy Machinery, or Industrial Technology industry, with at least 10 years in General Management managing a P&L
- Strategic thinking, entrepreneurial attitude, and a creative mindset
- Strong commercial acumen for assessing risks and opportunities
- Excellent communication and people management skills, with experience in forming and leading teams
- Flexibility, adaptability, and sensitivity to diverse cultures

- Ability to lead transformation, challenge mindsets, and evolve ways of working
