You will be an integral part of our Services Engineering central function at Alstom, working within a dedicated Transformation team focused on achieving our strategic 2030 objectives. This role provides the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals and experts, who play a pivotal role in driving significant changes across our global engineering operations. The position will be first based in Berlin, with an option for a next location.

We’ll Look to You For:

  • Contribute to the design and ongoing support of our Service Transformation Program, aimed at implementing strategic changes that align with our strategic 2030 objectives.
  • Promote a supportive and dynamic culture for Transformation within the team by implementing robust project management practices and providing guidance to team members.
  • Assist in the company-wide engineering transformation initiative, providing support to ensure alignment with overall strategic goals.
  • Drive the change management process by developing innovative solutions and ensuring that the strategic vision for change is effectively communicated and embraced across the organization.
  • Assess current systems and processes, identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute the integration of lean management techniques to optimize organizational efficiency.
  • Play a key role in a range of organizational initiatives: engineering performance, people development, knowledge management, diversity and inclusion, internal communication, workload management across the company.

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in engineering management, Business Administration, or Project Management. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in these fields, complemented by extensive professional experience, are also highly encouraged to apply.
  • Strategic Insight: Are you adept at analyzing complex scenarios and delivering practical solutions? We value experience in transformation projects and lean management, but it’s your ability to think on your feet and adapt that will make you shine here.
  • Leadership & Cooperation: We're looking for someone who’s responsible and able to manage projects, and foster a collaborative environment. Your ability to engage with team members, and drive projects to completion is essential.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Power BI is beneficial. However, it’s your analytical mindset and problem-solving prowess that are most critical.
  • English is required; French is a plus. Your ability to convey ideas and engage with diverse teams matters.

Location:

  • You will begin your journey at Alstom’s regional headquarters in Berlin, Germany. This initial phase provides an opportunity to connect closely with our production site in Hennigsdorf, allowing you to gain a deep understanding of our core operations and engineering practices.
  • Throughout your 24-month contract and if you wish for it, you will have the opportunity to be located in two different countries. This dynamic aspect of your role is designed to expose you to various business areas within Alstom.
