VIE Service Engineering (f/d/m) - 24 months

Alstom Digital & Integrated Systems offers a wide range of services and products relating to signalling technology and infrastructure. In close cooperation with our worldwide product competence centers, we cover business development, sales and bid management as well as customer-oriented project management, homologation, system engineering, documentation, mechanical integration, installation, commissioning and warranty at our Berlin location.

Mission description:

As part of the Service Engineering team, you will support the maintenance and documentation activities:

• Documentation delivery process improvement
• Analysis of error reports from customer data or passenger data recorders.
• Support for the determination of fleet availability based on concise indicators and support for the set-up or scripting of an online database: set-up of monitoring KPI dashboard to improve the availability of train fleets.
• Reliability growth management within the team: implementation or control of the remedial measure; REX & Quality management
• Orders, inventories, and management of maintenance tools
• Support the training team with creating training material and preparing onsite customer trainings

Your profile :

• Master’s degree in a technical field
• Interested in railway product
• Experience of working in an international environment
• Business fluent in written and spoken English, good knowledge of German desirable. French knowledge would be a plus.
• Analytical & organizational skills
• Open-mindedness towards internal and external contact partners
• Strong customer and service-oriented mindset
• Very good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a team, flexibility
• Ability to work independently, in a structured and solution-orientated manner

Details of the Volunteers for International Experience (VIE) programme:

• Assignments are open for citizens of of a country in the European Economic Area between 18 and 28 years, who have fulfilled the military service obligations of their country; 
• A VIE assignment will be in a country other than that of the applicant; 
• Set up by public sector statute in France, managed by the Business France organisation; 
• Assignment lasts from six to 24 months, renewable once within a cumulative limit of 24 months; 
• Compensation (non-taxable) linked to the cost-of-living index and set by BusinessFrance according to the destination country; 
• International social protection is extended to eligible parties; 2.5 days of holiday per month
