ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

 

The HR & Support Functions Architect’s role and responsibilities cover:

 

  • Be the Business Partner for Alstom support functions in scope
  • Establish a solid network with Business counterparts (internal customers)
  • Maximize business/customer intimacy
  • Be the single point of contact for Business demands capture
  • Challenge, prioritize and arbitrate Business demands
  • Define and maintain long-term solutions roadmap, aligning:
  • Business strategic vision, stakes & value
  • Solutions architecture
  • Software vendors product roadmaps
  • Market watch, trends analysis, analysts reviews and publications
  • Investment and budget tactical priorities
  • IT patterns and standards (cybersecurity, MDM, Data Integration, etc.)
  • Enable business transformation:
  • Evangelize other stakeholders, boost data culture and digital awareness
  • Leverage external benchmarking and market watch when required
  • Promote agile ways of working and fit-for-purpose governance
  • Challenge mindsets and be a proactive change agent
  • Drive best-in-class solution architecture and design:
  • Set-up solutions demonstrations and/or Proof-of-Concepts
  • Drive fair, robust and documented solutions selection
  • Be the Design Authority for business solutions all along their lifecycle
  • Produce and maintain architecture documentation
  • Deliver high-level solution design
  • Ensure by-design solutions compliance with IS&T architecture and cybersecurity patterns
  • Deliver solutions expertise whenever required
  • Interact with software vendors whenever required
  • Leverage to their best Alstom digital capabilities
  • Permanently interact with Digital Platforms teams who deliver digital enablers such as data integration solutions, BI / data visualization platforms, robotic process automation, cognitive & search solutions, custom apps, etc.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Digital Platforms Architects
  • Drive make-or-buy decisions, leveraging internal solutions whenever possible
  • Monitor and optimize solutions portfolio TCO (total cost of ownership):
  • Promote a culture of business-case driven decision-making
  • Be accountable for software licenses costs optimization
  • Actively contribute to negotiations with software vendors
  • Secure license fleet sizing based on actual and projected usage
  • Collaborate with Software Asset Management team and Procurement team
  • Support solutions usage and licenses monitoring

 

 

PROFILE AND EXPERIENCE:

 

Based in Berlin area (Germany), the candidate needs to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a Digital Transformation / Information Technology role (internal role or as a consultant),
  • Solid experience with the HR practices covering all HR processes (recruiting, onboarding, learning, performance management, career management, etc.)
  • Experience in 1 or more of the following areas: Solution Architecture, IT Project Management, Process Design, Change Management
  • Worked with VP/ C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in multi-system integration
  • Experience in addressing / managing a wide portfolio of solutions and customers
  • Experience in implementing SaaS solutions, knowledgeable about SaaS contracts specificities
  • Experience in workshop facilitation, MS Office suite, steering committee facilitation, business case formalization
  • Experience growing a network of trusted partners and supporting large scale transformation programs
  • Fluent in English.

Preferred:

 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Management
  • Experience in 1 or more of the following software provider segments: HCM, CRM, PPM, ESM
  • Ability to challenge mindsets, including C-level stakeholders
  • Compelling storyteller
  • Detail oriented, adaptable, and collaborative
  • Experience working in an international environment, experience working with French and Indian stakeholders is a plus
  • Knowledgeable about data modelling and data analytics
  • Knowledgeable about digital technologies (RPA, chatbots, etc.)
  • Experience in Agile frameworks and usability-based design (design thinking, …)
  • Ability to ideate optimal solutions for complex requirements
  • Ability to frame workarounds for any identified blockers, challenges or risks
