Your Future Role
Ernst-Reuter-Platz 6, in the heart of Berlin, is home to Alstom's DACH regional headquarters. Up to 500 colleagues of more than 40 nationalities work here, focusing on project management, business development, and regional strategy, with a special emphasis on rail digitalization. Our product line Digital & Integrated Systems (D&IS) answers worldwide mobility challenges for passengers and freight transportation through digitalization. You’ll report to Site Procurement Manager D&IS Onboard D&IS Site Procurement and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:
Manage the Sourcing Activity of the Project:
-
Ensure that the overall QCD targets of the WP material under your responsibility are met.

Participate in the project management committee.
-
Incorporate PSCL output into the overall picture of the project (availability of purchaser requests on time and on quality for take-over by the buyers, availability of the material for the first train, and consolidation of the logistical conditions).

Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhere to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Communicate Project Needs and Ensure They Are Properly Taken Into Account:
-
Organize launch meetings with Train Sub-Systems and Domains.
-
Challenge new gaps compared to tender commitments, incorporate Return on Experience, escalate any critical delays in specification availability, facilitate cooperation between Engineering and Sourcing, and request arbitration in case of conflict.

Publish specific legal requirements to be taken into account in negotiations, after analyzing the customer-specific demands and making a decision with the PM on whether to flow down (or not) these requirements to the suppliers.
Define and Implement the Project Sourcing Strategy in Full Respect of QCD Commitments:

Establish and agree with the PM on a Project Sourcing Strategy (if not done at the tender stage), in line with the Platform Sourcing strategy (panel, LCC objectives, dual sources).

Animate supplier selection through the Business Award process and request arbitration when relevant.

Based on SSM, buyer, and SPQD output, supervise the execution of contracts with selected suppliers until the FAI milestone.
Manage the Material Work Package:

Review the QCD material scope (Work packages) with stakeholders periodically, establishing a robust “at completion” vision, taking into account risks, ambitions, and uncertainties.

Establish bridge analysis at each SPR cycle.

Engage in the claim process for the CONQ S2 incidents.
Lead Cost Improvement Plans:

Challenge stakeholders (project, engineering, TSS, buyers) to collect cost optimization proposals in addition to the plan of the Project Sourcing Strategy.

Ensure that actions are documented and savings calculated on a total cost of ownership basis.

Organize decision-making on proposed actions and allow arbitration at the PM level in case of conflicts, or at the Platform level if major opportunities persist.
Report/KPI:

Prepare PM/SSD Review based on standard KPIs.
-
Organize SPR preparation and request validation to PlSD.
-
At significant project progress (SPR3), formalize the return of experience to the Reference Library and further tenders.
