Alstom Digital & Integrated Systems offers a wide range of services and products related to signaling technology and infrastructure. In close cooperation with our global product competence centers, we not only cover business development, sales and tender management at our Berlin site, but also customer-oriented project management, system engineering, homolagation, documentation, mechanical integration, installation, commissioning and warranty.

Would you like to take a broad responsibility and master challenging tasks? Do you want to make a contribution to sustainable mobility? In this position you will coordinate engineering activities in the project and represent Alstom as a technical contact person towards the customer. Your internal interfaces include the Alstom signaling competence centers in Belgium, France and Italy.


Your tasks:

 

  • You lead engineering activities of the project, sub-project or offer to achieve the required technical requirements of ETCS on-board projects, in particular
  • You implement the Alstom generic solution in your offer or project.
  • In the event of technical challenges, you will lead the internal team and lead the technical clarification rounds with the customer. They rely on ETCS experts in the Alstom group.
  • You are also responsible for adhering to the internal design process (such as design reviews, validation planning, technical project planning, documentation, etc.).
  • You coordinate the technical interfaces to internal partners (e.g. work preparation, purchasing, quality control, rolling stock) and external stakeholders (e.g. customers, suppliers).
  • You will represent Alstom in technical working groups to design the rollout of digital ETCS-based signaling technology in Germany.

 

Your profile:

 

  • Successfully completed university degree in a technical subject (rail vehicle technology, electrical engineering or similar)
  • Several years of experience in technical project management
  • Proven experience in the field of signaling technology, preferably for PZB, LZB, ETCS - Trainborne or Trackside
  • Power of persuasion and self-confidence in an international environment
  • You convince as a communicative and assertive personality with diplomatic skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, German would be an asset
  • Very good communication and team skills
  • Ability to prioritize and structure
  • Willingness to travel in the European environment
