Your Future Role
Ernst-Reuter-Platz 6, in the heart of Berlin, is home to Alstom's DACH regional headquarters. Up to 500 colleagues of more than 40 nationalities work here, focusing on project management, business development, and regional strategy, with a special emphasis on rail digitalization. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

Purpose of the job:
Act as a strategic communications business partner for the Services Product Line, leading various external and internal communications activities to position Alstom as a global leader in rail services.
Responsibilities:
The Services Product Line (PL) Communications Officer will be responsible for the following activities, working on transversal projects regarding the following:
Strategic communications planning
• Contribute to defining Services communications plan for both external and internal communications and deploying communications activities
External communications
• Define social media strategy and develop engaging content for social media channels
• Contribute to the creation and coordination of external stories and thought leadership pieces
• Develop videos and graphic materials to promote services solutions and expertise
• Work with external agencies to develop audiovisual materials, including video footage and photography
• Contribute to the development of branding materials and content for the Services product line and help shape brand positioning
• Coordinate external events and exhibitions and develop exhibits and content for the events
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop various marketing materials, including product sheets, case studies, brochures and presentations
Internal communications
• Prepare monthly Services Team Talk with the Services President for the global Services community
• Develop editorial calendar for internal stories and develop engaging stories for the Services community and Alstom organization
• Manage and deliver the ‘People of Services’ DEI campaign with monthly stories
• Maintain and regularly update the Services intranet page to ensure it remains current and accessible
• Create and deliver monthly Services newsletter to global Services community
• Support with the development and deployment of internal campaigns
• Support with key internal events involving the Product Line
Educational Requirements:
University degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in both external and internal communications
- Strong knowledge of the rail services industry and Alstom’s Services portfolio
Desirable:
- Experience working in a B2B environment
- Experience working in an international environment
Competencies & Skills:
- Strong business acumen to develop engaging communications materials for both internal and external audiences
- Able to confidently interact and work with individuals at all levels of the organization, including leadership
- Fluent English and French language skills (written and verbal)
- Strong writing, editing and project management skills
- Social media savvy
- Proficiency using audiovisual and design tools, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva, to create videos, graphics, infographics, etc.
- Proficient with internal communications tools such as Poppulo, Slido and SharePoint
- Able to successfully manage projects independently and work collaboratively on group projects
- Able to measure work, and outline and track KPIs for success
- Excellent time management skills – able to establish priorities, juggle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
