Your Future Role 

 

Ernst-Reuter-Platz 6, in the heart of Berlin, is home to Alstom's DACH regional headquarters. Up to 500 colleagues of more than 40 nationalities work here, focusing on project management, business development, and regional strategy, with a special emphasis on rail digitalisation. Our corporate functions play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the performance of our sites. You’ll report  and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team. 

 

We’ll look for you to : 

 

  • Ensure Group´s Project Finance governance is implemented for Central Northern Europe project portfolio
  • Ensure FPRs for a portfolio of ~ 30 medium critical projects are compliant with IFRS
  • Ensure FPRs are prepared in accordance with Company guidelines;
  • Analys the execution performance and propose action plans to improve contract margin and cash profile as well as corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
  • Coach FPM Community in the evolution of project accounting rules and processes
  • Identify potential weaknesses in competencies and develop/support initiatives to improve community’s performance.
  • Work with PMO, OdyC and Sites Leadership to drive the OdyC deployment in line with APSYS requirements 
  • Ensure on-time FPR scheduling for the Region, in support to CNE PMO
  • Track on-time validation of CNE FPRs by Group (Highly critical), CNE Business Performance (Medium critical) and Clusters (Low/No critical)
  • Control FPRs are approved as per Group´s Delegation of Authority
  • Ensure timely and qualitative reporting in tool Project Control Workbench
  • FPR validation (portfolio of ~25 medium critical projects)
  • Ensure all financial data is compliant to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Reporting Accounting Manual
  • challenge contents, verify quality of documentation and prepare Summary of Decisions;
  • Represents CNE Business Performance to MPRs: Monitors Estimate at Completions, Project Performance Indicators and Risks & Opportunities evolutions; cash-in and overdues
  • FPR audit:
  • Coordinate half-year FPR reviews by auditors
  • Support project teams (e.g. revise and check for consistency the documentation prior to submission)
  • Coordinate answers to auditors´ requests (documentation, questions on Contract Database)
  • Internal Control Questionnaire:
  • Coordinate answers to auditors´requests (prove controls in place, etc)
  • Support to FPM community: Provide guidance and support to the FPM community regarding Group Project & Accounting rules (CPA, Firming, VO, NAVO, NAVO Backlog, ISP calculation rules, LDs, etc…)
  • Represents CNE Finance community to OdyC steerco, support CNE PMO in execution of OdyC roadmap

  • MBA, Master’s in finance
  • Solid experience in project finance and accounting  
  • Project accounting/contracts and risks Management/reporting
  • English language knowledge
  • Knowledge of Alstom´s Reporting and Accounting Manual
  • German desirable 
  • Integrity, resilience, coordination, time management, communication leadership skills.
  • Ability to articulate key project messages at Executive level
