Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your system engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a critical role in shaping the future of railway systems by developing specifications and leading engineering activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as project managers, subsystem designers, and customers), manage engineering priorities and schedules, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of producing system specifications and interface documents, but also support subsystems in technical discussions with customers and engineers.
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading the development of system specifications (functional, architecture, transverse, interface)
- Obtaining customer/engineer acceptance of system specifications
- Organising, in liaison with the PrEM, engineering activities (priorities, schedule, delivery)
- Producing system specifications and interface documents in coordination with subsystem design
- Following up on the demonstration of compliance to contractual requirements and their allocation to subsystems
- Leading verification and demonstration through the design of system performances
- Supporting subsystems in technical discussions with customers/engineers
- Managing, with the support of the E&M interface manager, the interface definition
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
- Master’s degree in Engineering
- Experience or understanding of railway systems, operating requirements, and available equipment
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering/technical functions in railway, including 3+ years in managerial positions in turnkey railway international projects
- Expert knowledge in System Engineering
- Fluency in English and the contract language
- Good coordination and communication skills
- Ability to promote teamwork and collaboration
- Knowledge of system engineering methodology (e.g., MBSE)
- Ability to challenge subsystem solutions for global optimization
