Could you be the full-time EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Manager in Belgrade we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your environmental, health, and safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside passionate and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in establishing and sustaining a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the Serbia Metro project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (project managers, site teams, and subcontractors), ensure compliance with EHS standards and regulations, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of implementing and maintaining the EHS Management System, but also localizing Alstom's documentation and conducting regular workplace inspections.
We’ll look to you for:
- Leading and fostering a safety culture and promoting EHS continuous improvement throughout the project
- Ensuring the EHS Management System aligns with Alstom's processes, local legal requirements, and international standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Coordinating the development and implementation of EHS Risk Assessments, EHS Management Plans, and Method Statements
- Measuring, monitoring, and evaluating key characteristics of operations and activities
- Managing and reporting KPIs related to EHS performance
- Providing technical support and guidance to the site team to ensure adherence to EHS practices and procedures
- Ensuring that all accidents and incidents are prevented, reported, recorded, investigated, and analyzed to mitigate risks
- Defining training needs and deploying learning and development programs to enhance EHS competencies
- Ensuring subcontractors comply with Alstom's EHS requirements and local legislation
- Contributing to the standardization and consistency of EHS processes across the project
All about you

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Health and Safety or Environmental qualifications
- Good knowledge and understanding of ISO 45001, 14001 (relevant certifications are a plus)
- Proven experience in EHS roles, preferably within construction or transportation projects
- Good understanding of Serbian legislation related to Health and Safety, as well as relevant European regulations and directives
- Strong analytical skills and experience in risk assessment methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment
