Installation Technician

 

Purpose of the Job

Execution of equipment installation activities in the field and onboard according to project schedule and Installation Supervisor orientations and instruction

 

Responsibilities

  • Executes of specific installation activities according the design documentation and Supervisor Installation orientation / instruction.
  • Makes sure he has the right means to perform the installation:
  • Tools calibrated
  • Understanding of drawings and Method statement
  • Right material
  • Accurate knowledge / training for performing the work
  • Performs activities with quality – No deviation versus drawings and method statement = No punch point
  • Reports and alerts the hieratical superior if any risk, difficulties or issues are identified during the installation activities that may impact the safety, the quality and/or the performance of the work.
  • To undertake other duties as specified by the installation supervisor/installation manager/PrFOM
  • To adhere to Company procedures especially in relation to Quality and Health & Safety.
  • To attend regular team briefings
  • To read reports and manuals as and when required.

To report accidents/incidents.

 

Educational Requirements

  1. Formal education/course in Mechanical/Electrical
  2. Experience working within an installation environment – field installation is an advance.
  3. Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards and systems preferable
  4. English – Basic, ability to understand and to have minimal conversation.

Ability to read and understand technical drawings/schemes
