Could you be the full-time onsite Technician in Barton-Under-Needwood, GB we’re looking for?

 

Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside skilled and collaborative teammates. You'll play a key role in ensuring the operational and safety performance standards of the 22X fleet are met. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance, diagnostics, and compliance), conduct detailed inspections of train systems, and much more.

 

We’ll look to you for:

  • Carrying out component replacements and system adjustments.
  • Ensuring the 22X fleet meets operational and safety performance standards.
  • Acting as an Authorised Person in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Conducting detailed inspections of train systems, including electrical, mechanical, and software-based systems.
  • Identifying and rectifying faults using root cause analysis techniques.
  • Recording defects and corrective actions in maintenance management systems.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

  • Level 3 NVQ in an Electrical Engineering Discipline
  • Experience in a Rolling Stock Engineering environment
  • Knowledge of a variety of train systems including Electrical, Mechanical and Software. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with condition monitoring and diagnostic tools. 
  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment 
  • Familiarity with SES(Smart Execution System) or similar production systems as well as MS Office packages
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
