PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

You are in charge of the Warehouse area, taking care of the execution, physically and in the information system, of the counts & movements of materials.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies:
  • Ensure the storage of materials, guarantee the quantities stored and the correct storage conditions.
  • Ensure the material availability, integrity & delivery on time on production line
  • Manage the physical material flows (reception, putaway, kitting, mirror area, shipping) to always keep physical and system flows aligned
  • Ensure the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution is implemented and correctly used by Logistics operators
  • Monitor & challenge the performance of each warehouse activity through Key Performance Indicators
  • Apply the inventory process in compliance with Alstom standard rules (DOA (Delegation of Authority), instruction)
  • Actively contributes to the Continuous Improvement activities & APSYS (Alstom Production System) roadmap and all Alstom programs related to Logistics on his own site.

 

Operational activities:

  • Participate in the warehouse layout and optimize the storage space (layout, warehouse sizing, slow moving stock / scrapping process, …)
  • Contribute to the implementation of mirror area in the warehouse to optimize line feeding activities (Kanban flow, sequence, …)
  • Plan and manage material receipt, inbound transportation, stock entry, picking and kitting, line feeding, packing, shipping, outbound transportation, inventory accuracy, scrap process.
  • Solve all the logistics incidences and continuous communication with all departments.   
  • Respect any specific storage regulations (chemicals, battery, …)
  • Secure inventory accuracy and organize physical counting activities (both cycle counting and wall to wall)
  • Ensure the continually improvement of the warehouse organisation & processes
  • The planning of work for the Warehouse Area Supervisor is by shift (morning or evening shift)

 

In case of 3PL (logistic activities totally or partially outsourced):

Main responsibilities (towards 3PL):

  • Ensure that the 3PL and his employees operates in an environment that complies with Alstom’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Ensure that the 3PL works according to the conditions and service levels agreed in the contract.
  • If the 3PL works in Alstom’s ERP, ensure that is correctly implemented and used by the 3PL

Participate in all daily meetings with the 3PL

 

Operational activities (towards 3PL):

  • Guarantee follow-up and performance of 3PL activities through KPIs of your shift.

Analyse the Root Causes of any logistic issues and agree with the internal stakeholders and the Management of the 3PL on corrective actions. Follow up on these actions and participate in their realization

 

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Graduated from Industrial / Supply Chain master
  • Experience of minimum 3-5 years in similar position
  • Experience and use of ERP solution
  • Spanish & English
