Could you be the full-time V.I.E. Automation & Robotics Engineer in Barcelona we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your robotics and automation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.

You'll contribute to shaping the future of industrial processes by supporting the development and integration of advanced robotics technologies. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including data science, welding departments, and process experts), test and validate new technologies, and contribute to the standardization of processes and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of supporting the Automation and Robotics Innovation program in Barcelona, but also collaborate with experts in Savigliano (Italy) to drive progress across multiple sites.

We’ll look to you for:

Contribute to Innovation mission :

 

    • Robot welding Data Correlation (Defect Data Model):
      • Participate & follow-up on the solution’s design step by step with data science & welding department
      • Support the execution of test campaign on mock-ups/samples
      • Participate to the correlation analysis by comparing data deviation vs quality inspection (visual testing, destructive & Non-Destructive Tests)
      • Contribute to the validation plan reporting and ensure proper documentation of test protocols, results, and conclusions
      • Participate to core team animation & PDCA follow-up

 

    • Inspection: Extend existing robot applications to Presence/Absence detection:
      • Participate in the validation plan definition including process & technology acceptance criteria
      • Support the validation of detection technologies in laboratory conditions, including coordination of tests and review of results on representative samples
      • Contribute to the evaluation of robotic motion and system integration through simulation‑based assessments to verify feasibility and accessibility
      • Assist in integrating and validating the complete inspection system in a real industrial environment
      • Contribute to reporting activities (tests, business case, etc..) & process standardization documentation (technical standard solution definition,  consolidate recommendations for future development, etc..)

 

Contribute to Operation mission :

  • Participating in the design and execution of test campaigns for robot welding and data correlation processes
  • Supporting validation and integration of robotic inspection systems in industrial environments
  • Contributing to robotic system performance improvements and process standardization
  • Assisting in the creation of robot programs and evaluating technical feasibility through offline simulations
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth technology transfers and knowledge acquisition
  • Supporting the development of KPIs for automation and robotics, including usage and maturity metrics

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of industrialization and automation processes
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and automation technologies
  • Familiarity with industrial practices and standards
  • A strong ability to foster communication between diverse stakeholders
  • Team spirit, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • A valid driver’s license (appreciated but not mandatory)
