Could you be the full-time Train Test Manager in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your validation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll and work alongside young, passionate and proactive teammates.
You'll ensure the adequation between train preparation and availability to run during tests phases. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (design, laboratories experts, test & commissioning), ensure proper train and EHS management during the train testing campaign and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of representing the train validation team on board the train acting as their captain during the shift, for validations and certification tests, but also supporting the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools and on-board spare parts, ...).
We’ll look to you for:
- Check the ability of the train (loads, degrade modes, etc.) and track conditions (speeds, restrictions, etc.) to complete the test.
- Be the unique interlocutor with the conductor's team.
- Operationally coordinate all the on-board actors to ensure that all can be done safely for the people and the material.
- For the static shift, coordinate te work to be done by the various Company teams and the testing team regarding their organization and implementation to ensure proper co-activities without risk.
- Support the Testing team on producing failure reports and the test book (test events chronology).
- Be responsible for the safety of all people attending the tests, belonging to the Company but also sub-contractors. As such, be responsible for the distribution and the application of the safety rules defined. Manage the applicable prevention plan and daily checklist
- Make sure that test train set’s configuration is properly managed by the team
- Be informed about the train set status especifications on modifications on the train set performed by the testing team and decide if the train set is still in a safe condition to continue and must be able to stop the tests if not under control.

- 5-10 years on field experience of Test or Validation Engineer.
- Railway and Train system knowledge : at least 2 years.
- Experience in EHS and safety aspect, operational and team coordination
- Proactive and day to day capability to improve the operational of the test organization.
- Motivate the team to the hgher standard of preparation with EHS focus
- Tests organization capability, knowledge of planning sequencing and optimization
- Fluent Spanish and Good Level in English
