Could you be the full-time Train Control & Information System Engineer in Santa Perpetua de Mogoda (Barcelona) we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your welding expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.
You'll define the architecture and functionalities of a TC&IS subsystem (PACIS, CCTV, Multimedia, Event recorder, Train Ground Communication, ATC/Safety equipment) in compliance with the different requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (production, engineering), ensure the integration of the systems into the train and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of performing control engineering activities for one or several functions from architecture to detailed specification, interface and Pure Principle Scheme or Logical Diagram LD3.
We’ll look to you for:
- Deliver the subsystem documentation (Requirement Specification and Architecture Description RSAD, Technical Purchase Specification TPS, Interface Control Document ICD).
- Define and implement the functional, performance, transverse and train level requirements of the dedicated subsystem.
- Integrate the subsystem into the train (mechanically and electrically).
- Define the Interface (mechanical and electrical) for the dedicated subsystem.
- For its function, formulate a Low voltage and SW control design solution that fulfils the specified customer.
- Deliver all TC & IS Engineering outputs including Functional Design Description FDD with man machine interfaces, Electrical Schemes and Electrical Products definition (with the support of Electrical Lead Engineer), in compliance with the Engineering Quality Cost Delay commitments.
- Deliver Interface Control Document (ICD) for sub system participating in its function.
- Verify of the subsystem (focus on train level) including design reviews.
- Change and configuration management process for the subsystem on train level.
- Control of changes after design changes including impact analysis.
- Plan and follow up of all activities linked to the subsystem.
- Support sourcing, suppliers, PUs, S&A Engineers, Interior engineers, RAMS engineers, validation engineers.
- Provide inputs to engineering team, sourcing, suppliers or Pus.
- Provide support during train integration, upon request.
- Contribute to the return of experiences on his/her domain (Software, Schematic, Apparatus).

- Industrial Engineering Degree
- Experienced engineer (3 years experience with the dedicated subsystem in rail business).
- Understanding of the system engineering process and mastering a system engineering methodology (e.g. SysML).
- Experience in electrical or electro-mechanical or automation (Programmable Logic Controller) engineering with minimum of 1-2 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of network topologies and interfaces for Serial, Ethernet, MVB and other industrial communication network.
- Communication abilities.
- Fluent English.
- Monitor specific market needs and innovations related to system engineering.
