Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your validation expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.
You'll act as « Project owner » for the comprehensive range of Integration/Tuning and Certification/Validation tests during the test campaign execution. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, commissioning), support the Train Validation Engineer in the optimisation of the validation plan and planning and take in charge the details organization of onsite complex tests campaign during test campaign preparation and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of representing the train validation engineer, on board the train, during validations and certification tests, but also being the entry point for all the request of activities on train related to testing and coordinating them.
We’ll look to you for:
- Organize on a day to day basis, the way tests will be carried out.
- Make sure that tests equipment and instrumentation are always operational and available.
- Be the interlocutor, on a daily basis, of the Railway Test Centre or Public Infrastructure and follows the way various testing phases are organised.
- Also before the test, you’ll ensure that test teams respect safety rules and procedures on board the train, prepare the work Authorizations, prepare the test implementation (staffing, availability of tools, calibrated measurement devices, and on-board spare parts, ...), check that train a/o subsystems are compliant to the last Applicable configuration issued by System Engineer team and arrange with your test center’s counter-part the test slot booking.
- During the tests, you will condute the tests and carry out the tests to be done by ALSTOM in coordination with the Train Manager (T&C), operationally coordinating all the testing teams and laboratories on board and defining the priorities in case of conflicts between tests activities.
- After the tests, you’ll create the failure reports and you’ll produce the test book (test events chronology) and daily shift reports.
- During test campaign preparation you’ll:
- Lead the Validation activities for the Train level during project execution delagated by the TVE.
- Define and implement the most appropriate testing methodology and means of testing for complex tests or campaign.
- Update the Validation Plan and planning.
- Consolidate the specification of tools and test means (climatic chamber, train, ...).
- Tools & means procurement (design, purchase, reservation,).
- Provide structured REX to feed costing activities, and to enrich the CV metier technical repository.

- Ideally experience in project management: 1 to 3 years depending on team size, multi-metiers or multi-sites team. and project, including Customer and external stakeholders Technical Management.
- On field experienced Test or Certification/Validation Technician/ Engineer.
- Structured and organised approach of the job.
- Coordination skills and ability to take decisions.
- Railway and Train system knowledge : at least 2 years.
- Tests organization capability, knowledge of planning tools.
- Fluent in english and spanish.
- Required electrical habilitation level.
