Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your Project Management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and talented teammates.
You'll plan and manage all Installation activities for the project in support to the Project Manager ensuring application of the project’s strategy (including QCD commitment) and compliance with D&IS SIG and SECURITY strategy, policies, standards, local regulations and professional standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Manager and Project Core Team, Regional Centre Installation Manager or RC / PO Field Operation Manager, Regional Centre EHS Manager)
You’ll specifically take care of managing internal interfaces within Project: Projects Engineering, Industrial, Supply Chain, Test and Commissioning, Sourcing, …; and external technical interfaces: Partners, Third Parties and Customers.
We’ll look to you for:
- Organising the Installation work (To be described in the Project Installation Management Plan) and Manages Installation Work Package (QCD). Monthly Work Package review with PM to control, analyses and evaluates costs and resources evolution, deviations, material, schedule, Risk identification and mitigation plan for Installation activities, … under the required tool (ADEL)…
- Delivering engineering studies (Bill of Installation Materials / Quantities, Method Statements, Installation Materials Specification Requirements, Installation drawings and configuration)
- Assisting procurement (Focus on Installation supplier)
- Preparing and managing Installation (Installation work, Work permit, Interface with Warehouse, …) including Installation supplier and Subcontractor / Installer
- Ensuring EHS on field with guidance and support from the Project team member in charge of Project EHS coordination Adheres to Alstom zero deviation policies and makes sure installer or sub-contractor follow the Alstom EHS polices.
- Monitoring / managing QCD performances (including EHS and RSA –Railway Safety), reporting and anticipating issues and monitoring milestone progress dashboard with regular project KPI reports.
- Assessing monthly the subcontractor and generates / acquiring from sub-contractor: Action plan progress, report, review and progress.
- Deploying and making sure the SIG and SECURITY Installation Process is applied as per the tailoring rules agreed with the RC IM. It is including:
- Regular updates of Installation Strategy Checklist, -Subcontractor share of responsibility and share of works as per project dynamics
- Performs / Acquires site investigations, surveys and field inspections as required by the customer or project needs
- Plans and schedules Installation activities as per handover from installation to T&C plan
- Reviews and signs off all installation design including: Installation Method statement, drawings, and manages site copies of drawing with Red & Yellow / Mark-ups, reviews and analyses subcontractor daily/weekly installation report. Manage of Punch list and regular follow-ups to close them. Ensures that “as built” drawings are in place before revenue service, including “as installed” configuration
- Reviews of Installation BOQ and updates as per project requirements. Supervising first article inspections and getting approvals from end user. Generates Traceability to installation requirements
- Lists Installation tools and organises regular inspections (calibration dates, notice to use, etc )
- Leads, manages, organizes and plans the installation activities with Alstom Installation Team and/or Subcontractors. Takeover of building / work place report (Civil works reception) –including punch list of remaining works to be done
- Decides start of work as per 4M Checklist for starting Installation Engineering and site installation activities
- Makes REX of Project installation activities and report on action.
- Supporting other Project worldwide as per RC IM request and participate to Process / “Metier” improvement workgroup as per RC IM request.

- University degree in Engineering
- 3/5 years of experience/knowledge on field work execution in the railway sector. If this experience is in signalling and infrastructure activities, especially with ADIF, it will be a plus.
- Experience in management and evaluation of subcontractors
- Orientation and experience in EHS and AZDP control
- High level of English is a must
- Availability to travel is required
- Conflict management and interpersonal skills
- Team spirit approach and good communication skills
- Abilities to obtain collaboration and “pull together” all parties involved in the project (especially in case of complex PIO)
- Anticipation, clear reporting
- Leadership, entrepreneurship mindset and decision minded.
