Your future role


Take on a new challenge and apply your communication expertise in a dynamic and international environment.


You’ll work closely with the Spain Communications Director and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at local, national and central levels.


The Spain Communication Manager supports the Spain Communications Director in delivering the function’s objectives and communication strategy at country level, with a strong focus on Catalonia, while also contributing to national communication initiatives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, external partners and media, helping position Alstom as a key industrial and mobility player in Spain and much more

 

You’ll specifically take care of contributing to the development and implementation of Alstom Spain’s internal and external communication plan, with a strong focus on Catalonia.

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Alstom Spain’s corporate communication plan, with a strong focus on Catalonia.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in Catalonia.
  • Monitor, anticipate and help mitigate potential reputational issues or crisis situations.
  • Draft and develop communication materials, including press releases, campaigns, presentations, brochures, videos, articles and speeches.
  • Support and feed national and local communication channels and platforms, both online and offline.
  • Help manage and support the content and day-to-day activity of corporate social media accounts, ensuring alignment with global and local communication strategies.
  • Track and report on communication activities, analysing media coverage and evaluating impact.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key Catalonian media outlets and journalists.
  • Identify newsworthy opportunities to position Alstom in the media.
  • Proactively identify relevant topics and propose compelling angles for press coverage.
  • Manage local media enquiries and coordinate interviews and press interactions.
  • Organise press-related activities, including press conferences, media visits and project or product presentations.
  • Produce internal news content and monthly newsletters.
  • Coordinate internal events and internal communication campaigns.
  • Support Spain and local management teams during internal communication initiatives.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies and partners.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and tracking of communication budgets, ensuring cost efficiency, accurate planning and compliance with internal processes.

  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Studies or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in Communication.
  • Proven experience in public relations, media relations or corporate communications.
  • Strong understanding of the Catalonian and Spanish media landscape, with established relationships with journalists and newsrooms.
  • Experience managing corporate social media channels and digital communication tools.
  • Languages: Spanish: native level. Catalan: native level. English: advanced level (C1 or equivalent), both written and spoken.
