We’re looking for a Mechanical Lead Engineer to manage Mechanical Integration activities and deliverables on projects and tenders and to perform Finite Element Analysis and calculation discipline activities in compliance with QCD commitments. . Your role, your impact
- Performing 3D, design annotations and 2D deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments, Metier rules and processes.
- Performing the calculation discipline activities and producing associated deliverables in compliance with QCD commitments.
- Modelling and storing allocated volumes and interfaces for sub-systems / components in Digital Mock-Up.
- Verifying consistency of digital mock-up (no clash, etc.) and compliance with requirements (allocated volumes, weight, interfaces, etc.) on assigned scope.
- Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews
- Checking CADs' and sub-contractor's Design Quality
- Realizing stack-up analysis
- Planning and piloting Mechanical Domain activities and related deliverables on project taking into account applicable instructions/processes and other specific Customer (internal or external) requirements.
- Applying TD rules, processes and tools and ensuring Mechanical Domain deliverables quality and their acceptance by the Customer (internal or external) within committed limits.
- Managing production of deliverables in accordance with Planning targets on Mechanical Domain assigned zone
- Preparing and documenting Mechanical Domain Design Reviews according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions.
- Resolving Project Mechanical issues in assigned zone.
- Reporting on Mechanical Domain activities progress and alerting relevant N+1 in case of issue potentially impacting achievement of QCD commitments.
- Checking availability on time of work package input data and escalate if necessary.
- Defining load cases according to applicable standards, either static and cycle loads; as well as boundary conditions.
- Creating meshed models from CATIA 3D models, with either 1D, 2D or 3D finite elements, with Hypermesh software.
- Performing the Finite Element Analysis in Hyperworks software.
- Analysing calculated deformations, stresses and vibration modes obtained.
- Suggesting design improvements of calculated parts
- Preparing and documenting calculation discipline reports, calculation notes showing FEA conclusions, according to project schedule and following-up the main open actions.
- Resolving Project Mechanical issues and following challenging actions
- Defining mitigation plans covering a risk identified on Project Mechanical Domain scope.
- Analysing and consolidating change request impacts on Mechanical Domain scope.

What you bring
- Mechanical Engineering preferably applied to Railway products
- Finite Elements Analysis proved experience
- Good Communications and interpersonal skills including with third parties (customer) in an international environment.
- Time management and reporting skill.
- Sense of urgency / priority.
- Knowledge of CATIA-V5 and 3Dcom/Enovia
- Knowledge and experience with Altair Hyperworks softwares (Hypermesh, Hyperview, Hypergraph…) for more than one year.
- Structured and organised with Hands-on approach.
- English fluent and operational in read/writing and technical meetings. Other languages are welcome
