The Network & Telecom V&V Engineer is responsible to execute the Verification and Validation for the Network & Telecom Solution as demonstration of fitness for its intended use, by managing the process of defining and executing the Verification, Integration and Test activities in line with Quality and Delivery objectives.
The successful candidate will undertake day to day responsibility for leading the efforts to execute Verification and Validation Plan.
This position requires understanding and skillsets in V&V methodology, network and radio architecture, systems engineering, and cyber security.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute verification and deliverables, when requested in V&V strategy,
- Define test plans and test descriptions for in-house activities,
- Perform and report allocated verification, integration, and test activities,
- Write V&V Test reports and raise Non-Conformities
- Investigate Non-Conformities root cause along with N&T Experts,
- Interface with Network & Telecom Solution Engineers to align on V&V activity methodology,
- Specify, procure, develop, setup and configure assets such as testbenches and instrumentation,
- Provide valuable feedback for REX sessions and continuous improvement of V&V Methodology,
- Manage configuration and change management cycle related with V&V activities (simulation configuration, anomaly tracking etc.),
- Ensure that the solutions proposed comply with the relevant Quality and Process directives,
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering
Relevant experience required:
- Up to 2 years of V&V and/or testing and commissioning experience,
- Knowledge on Requirements Management tools (Rational DOORS, RQM)
- Knowledge on network test and traffic analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark, iperf, IxChariot)
- Knowledge on Test Bench automation software (Labview, Robot Framework, …)
- Knowledge on Writing scripts (Python, Perl, Lua, PowerShell, Batch, Bash, …)
- Knowledge in the field of wired communications such as Ethernet and MPLS technologies,
- Knowledge in the field of wireless communications such a Wi-Fi, 4G technologies,
- Knowledge of industry standard protocols (NTP, SNMP, QoS, OSPF, 802.11, 3GPP, SNMP, Syslog),
- Knowledge of wireless cyber security controls (802.1x, Radius, LDAP, Firewall, WPA2, WPA3, WIPS, EAP-TLS, IDS, SIEM),
- Knowledge on Network Monitoring System,
- Working knowledge of Requirements Management and Configuration Management tools,
- Be proactive and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Experience working in the Transportation industry (specifically Rail),
- Experience in collaboration within a multi-cultural and diverse global team
- Experience in signaling and/or telecom system concepts and architecture
- Fresh grad is welcome
