As a Wireless Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for acting as the technical reference in mission-critical IP-based radio network implementation to deliver stable and resilient railway communications.

You will undertake day-to-day responsibility for leading efforts to define, develop, validate, and maintain the Radio Solution. You will serve as the point of escalation for complex technical queries encountered during the system deployment for projects we are actively engaged with around the world.

You should have a strong understanding and skill set in radio architecture, systems engineering, and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize the wireless network solution based on system application requirements.
• Develop the wireless network subsystem requirements framework.
• Define the architecture and implementation methodology for the standard radio solution.
• Collaborate within the program team to integrate interfaces of the network solution (e.g., wired network system, application developers).
• Create and maintain standard documents for the radio solution in accordance with project-specific requirements.
• Create test cases for validation activities related to the radio solution and review test results.
• Act as a technical reference for issue escalation during project deployment.
• Ensure that the proposed solutions comply with the relevant quality and process directives.
• Regularly suggest tools and product improvements in line with technological developments.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Radio and/or Telecom Engineering.
• Knowledge of wireless network design and deployment

Competencies & Skills:

• Experience in product development.
• Hands-on experience with network management and traffic analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, iperf).
• Proven expertise in wireless communications fields such as Wi-Fi, GSM, 3G, 4G, and Tetra technologies, including their deployment.
• Strong knowledge of industry-standard protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac, 3GPP REL14/15/16, SNMP, Syslog).
• Familiarity with wireless cybersecurity controls (WPA2, WPA3, WIPS, EAP-TLS).
• Competency in NMS implementation for wireless equipment status and control.
• Familiarity with wireless network implementation using major telecom suppliers (Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, Westermo, Moxa, Belden).
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi 6 and 5G technologies.
• Working knowledge of requirements management and configuration management tools.
• Proactive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English.

Relevant Experiences:

• Initial experience in wireless product design
• Initial experience in technical product and supplier management
• Initial experience in network management
