Services Maintenance Technician Internship
Purpose of the Job
The role is support and learning the services technician who multi-skilled requiring a high degree of competency in mechanical skills with basic electrical skills. The role involves diverse mechanical and electrical work on Rolling Stock and other sub-systems under the maintenance contract such as body work repairs, welding repairs, fabrication, and basic electrical installation tasks. The role has responsibilities for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) inspections as assigned and the maintenance of documentation for the vehicles and the work site. The position will be based on a shift system to support a 24hours, 7 days a week management.

Responsibilities
- Leading the Safety culture required to ensure Zero LTA’s
- Responsible for service activity on subsystems including installation, commissioning, maintenance, servicing and repair.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities following the technical instructions, maintenance manuals and technical documentation provided by the manufacturer
- Inspection and repairs: For rail passenger cars, rolling stock and subsystem components
- Mechanical: Conduct repairs and installation of pneumatic and hydraulic systems on passenger rail cars , Monorail and sub systems under the maintenance contract
- Electrical: Basic electrical wiring installation, testing and troubleshooting of passenger rail cars, rolling stock, other subsystems under the maintenance contract
- Environmental Health and Safety: Performs EHS duties as assigned
- Documentation: Maintains vehicle history books and other production documentation
- Perform first line corrective maintenance and/or troubleshooting when required
- Performs troubleshooting and repair train to ensure that train go back to revenue service.
- Performs the works that be assigned from Supervisor in charge to meet the objectives established by the management
Experience
- 1 to 5 years experience in preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical and mechanical components
- Experience in the railway, aviation, marine or Oil &Gas is required.
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematic and manufacturing drawings
- The ability to drive a road vehicle and forklift truck is desirable.
- Interpersonal skill, able to work in a small team or with minimal supervision
- Agile, inclusive, responsibility
- Able to work on shift
Educational Requirements
Study in vocational Diploma – Electrical/Mechanical or related technical field.
