Could you be the full-time Software Design Engineer in Bangkok we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your software development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative and collaborative teammates.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the software meets its functional, safety, and availability targets, contributing to the delivery of high-quality signalling systems for our customers. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including software architects and hardware designers, to develop and integrate software solutions, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of designing and coding software components, as well as testing and verifying deliverables, but also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and standardization efforts.
We’ll look to you for:

Collaborating with the software architect to elaborate software specifications and architecture

Developing and coding software components
-
Setting up the software development toolchain
-
Specifying, designing, preparing, and performing tests and verifications of deliverables
-
Managing software work products under configuration management
-
Supporting software and hardware integration
-
Contributing to the sustainability and maintenance of software
-
Staying informed about technological advancements through a technology watch
-
Implementing reusable solutions, including Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products

Applying processes and standards
-
Driving continuous improvement initiatives

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

At least 3 years’ experience in software development

Experience in software development using C/C++
-
Knowledge of Linux, networking, and protocols

Familiarity with script languages and shell utilities
-
Experience using tools such as Git, GitLab, or PC-Lint (optional)
-
Experience in formulating subsystem requirements and technical writing
-
Experience in vital or secure software development is an additional advantage

Experience in the railway domain is an additional advantage
