As a Software Architect , you will work with our Product Owner to create solutions, working together in a team in a global and agile environment. You will mainly build our java based internal application that is used to configure Alstom’s signalling products. Our growing teams with around 30 developers are present in Bangkok and Hässleholm, Stockholm. Currently we are on an exciting journey of bringing our application to the cloud. The role of the OTS system architect is to understand the vision and system requirements specified by the Product Owner (US) for the OTS product. Break down requirements and communicate them to the implementation team in India:

 

  • Analysis. Discussing features with PO (Product Owner) and contributing to estimation work together with the implementation team. 
  • Design. Creating the design and ensuring it is testable, scalable and future proof. Document the design, discuss it with PO and implementation team.
  • Implementation. Keep a holistic view of the implementation work but also be able to review code and in some cases jump in and develop code. 
  • Test. Provide a test strategy and outline different levels of required tests.
  • Support and maintenance. Keep track of and support with NCR analysis. 
  • Communication. Communicate with stakeholders. Ensure requirements are understood by the implementation team. Good English understanding and speaking is required.
  • Leadership. Provide technical leadership and direction to OTS implementation team

 

Education

  • Studies in computer science or similar topic.

 

Relevant experience required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)

  • Experience in C# and .NET
  • Experience in OOP (Object Orientated Programming)
  • Experience in WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
  • Experience JMS (Java Messaging Services)
  • Knowledge WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
  • Knowledge of OPC (Open Platform Communication)
  • Experience in waterfall methodology
  • Experience in complex software projects
  • Experience of working with change management software
