Project Buyer

Alstom is looking for a buyer, 3-5 years experience, that will support our Project Procurement Managers and Tender Procurement Managers to run RFQs, negotiate and select supplier as per Alstom Process,  starting immediatly

• These activities include:
  • Research in Alstom internal systems such as SAP, Parts360, Orchestra to find more details on requested materials (drawings, past purchasing records, possible suppliers)
  • Coordinate with Engineering/Project in case of unclear specification of materials
  • Reach out to existing or new suppliers to identify correct supppliers for such materials
  • Send out RFQ to the right suppliers and follow up / chase offer submission
  • Get expertise from Global Commodity team where required
  • Ensure all materials are correctly setup in SAP (align with material planning and Engineering)
  • Follow up with internal stakeholders on PR process
  • Send out PO and follow up with suppliers on Order confirmation

Relevant experience required:

• Bachelor in purchasing or equivalent (engineering, project management…)
• Interest in technical field 
• 3 years of experience (Project, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Material Planning)
• Ability to work in a matrix environment
• Communication skills & Team spirit
• Ability to challenge
• Results oriented
• Rigorous and structured
• International mindset
• Fluent in English
• Familiar to ERP systems (preferably SAP)
