People Manager for Engineering Tools
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an ambitious, organized, and motivated People Manager. The ideal candidate will have a technical background and an interest in people and communication. As a natural leader, you will have a strong talent for seeing and understanding people and their motivations. Ultimately, you are driven by the desire to develop a high functioning team with happy people while having some fun on the way.
As a Team Leader, you will interact with all team members, your peers and management so your communication as well as your motivational skills should be excellent. It is an absolute requirement that you speak and write both English and Thai at a high level.
You are expected to provide technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship and be a good role model of accountability. You should also be prepared to work with the other team leads within Engineering Tools, solving common issues in a humble and constructive way.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team involved in a set of programs, ensuring quality targets and repeatable performances.

Grow the team and follow-up project strategy definition and task execution, delivering as per your commitments.

Be the daily go-to person for Engineering Tools within the larger Bangkok Alstom offices, be in close contact with the Technology center and facilitate communication between them and Engineering Tools.

Identify, generalize, and stabilize best practices.

Lead continuous team improvement, plan trainings, coach the team and, nurture skill growth.

Agree and implement, with the department head and the peer domain leaders, the department guidelines.

Provide support to team program execution.

Promote Alstom values to your team.

Continuously motivate, encourage, evaluate, train, and develop people as per approved performance evaluation process and targets.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Engineering, or another technical related field.
Relevant experience required

At least 3 years work experience in an engineering field including experience leading people.

Experience in project execution and management.

Structured and agile approach to problem solving.

Self-motivated, a team player, and exhibit a high degree of professionalism.

Demonstrate strong communication skills and an ability to execute. You are result oriented and creative.

A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.

Understanding and experience in cultural differences and the opportunities they present.
