Purpose of the Job

The Modification and Warranty Engineer is responsible to perform the following on the services project within their scope of activity: carry out the Modifications, Warranty and Industrialization Production Execution processes and ensure that standards are implemented. Integrates Supply Chain & Quality requirements for modifications, warranty and industrial management. Continually improves modifications, warranty and Industrial performance by deploying lean manufacturing methods, tools and culture. This role will be leading the above mentioned scope including mods, warranty, commissioning, homologation, failure diagnosis, field modification implementation, etc across Pink and Yellow Lines depots.   • Propose finalize and lead modifications, warranty and industrial strategy
  • Develop a coherent and efficient make or buy analysis to improve the projects QCD
  • Participate to develop the modifications, warranty and industrial Management plan


Modifications, Warranty and Industrialization standards

  • Ensure mods, warranty and Industrialization is properly executed with respect to Alstom standards , methods and tools
  • Ensure that Production is properly executed
  • Ensure that requirements in terms of Safety, EHS, special processes, Q alerts, etc. are properly identified and applied within the industrial processes and documentations
  • Support the overall modifications program and warranty capacity is defined and managed
  • Ensure standards deployment plan and ensure homogeneous deployment throughout depots
  • Ensures that PI processes & instructions are implemented, communicated, used and supported in the project (internally & externally including customer). Formalized in Warranty/PI Management Plan
  • Support the full Project Warranty Work Package during the defects liability period.
  • Support Reliability Growth with customer and internally (Field Modifications, Fleet Checks…) to achieve the contractual Reliability target
  • Ensure 8D follow-up with Quality
  • Ensure standards deployment plan and ensure homogeneous deployment throughout depots
  • Drive Warranty Back-office function to support Warranty Customer Site team (repair loop, spares, consignment stock, FM preparation)
  • Participate in obsolescence management (if applicable)
  • Achieve closure and final sign-off of contractual Warranty obligations (on time)
  • Provide REX of the Warranty period to the organization
  • Initiation and implementation of Field Modification (approved by Design Authority)


Performance & Efficiency

  • Meet modification and warranty targets and manage performance improvement & efficiency plans
  • Modification and Warranty KPI dashboard: ensure reporting, define & roll out the local action plan, ensure implementation on the field
  • Ensure contribution to reliability growth and return of experience
  • Achievement of contractual reliability/Availability (milestone) targets
  • Achievement of end of general contractual warranty on time
  • Containment and solution of K1S/K2/K3 issues on time
  • FQA Gate Review GO on time
  • Audit results (internal and external)
  • Customer satisfaction survey result
  • Charge-Back KPI
  • Zero Accidents


Continuous improvement

  • Participate all the modifications required on the assets during the contract duration
  • Train, deploy & animate on the site the CI and relative action plan follow up
  • Drive self-assessment & audits
  • Be active member in the Continuous Improvement and Return of experience networks


Relevant experience required:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Modification and/or Warranty management.
  • Experience in delivering complex railway projects or/and monorail projects
  • Experience in QHSE site based requirements
  • Strong Leadship skill
  • Knowledge in electrical/hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings and other technical documentations.
  • Excellent communication skills
