Your future role
- Internal suppliers: Manage the Purchase Requisition (PR) flow through to Material Planning documents.
- External suppliers: Coordinate with Sourcing to ensure PR maturity before launching Material Planning documents.
- Ensure and maintain accurate material planning master data in compliance with stock and logistics constraints.
- Create Material Planning documents (Call‑off, Scheduling Agreements) and the corresponding Source Lists.
- Resolve Goods Receipt issues using appropriate communication channels (overstock, shortages, damage, documentation issues, quantity discrepancies, invoices, etc.).
- Communicate delivery requirements to suppliers.
- Share Material Planning documents with suppliers and follow up on confirmations.
- Analyse supplier confirmations against company needs and assess risks and potential impacts on production and projects.
- Track deliveries and ensure material availability for Alstom projects.
- Maintain and update delivery dates in ERP systems.
- Identify priorities based on risk and impact, and define recovery actions.
- Maintain regular communication with suppliers (email, meetings, calls) to review delivery status.
- Analyse and manage MRP exception messages and proactively anticipate supply issues (backlogs, shortages, no demand).
- Monitor supplier performance KPIs.
- Analyse and share delivery performance KPIs with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Material Planning Management / SDPM to identify underperforming suppliers and define corrective action plans.
- Participate in or lead supplier performance improvement initiatives.
- Create and develop reports and data visualisations on a regular and ad‑hoc basis.
- Perform data analysis and present insights to stakeholders, including management.
- Implement digital tools (Artificial Intelligence, Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform) to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into digital solutions.
- Provide data‑driven recommendations to the business.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and/or Global Business Center Academy projects as assigned by the line manager.
All about you
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Arts, Humanities, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 0–5 years of experience in roles such as Buyer, Purchaser, Expediting, Order Processing, Customer Service, or similar functions.
- Understanding of supply chain concepts and continuous improvement processes.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP) is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Conversational Italian (B1 level or above) is mandatory.
- Familiarity with digital tools such as Power BI or Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
