Your future role
You'll manage procurement operations for Indirect Materials and Services in line with commodity objectives and support supplier panel relationship (supplier workload, negotiation, specific agreement). Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with project teams across the business (Commodity Management, Project Procurement Director, Regional Procurement manager, Site buyers, Requesters, and their management), consolidating the commodity needs, and much more.
You’ll specifically set up full supplier selection process and support the deployment of commodity strategies, while ensuring that purchased goods and services are both cost-efficient and of high quality, of course in the right time-frame.
Main Reponsibilities:
- Establish Requests for Quotations (RFQ’s) including commercial and technical requirements, evaluate and select suppliers offers, place orders and control file transfer
- Managing contracts for risk management, claims, conflict resolutions, feedback and input into bids from lessons learnt, Monitor end of lifetime.
- Prepare Business Award/Bid Comparison Chart and secure agreement.
- Provide commitment in tender phase in agreement with Commodity Manager
- Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions
- Ensure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
- Assess properly all risky suppliers and manage the associated mitigation plan

- Contract term negotiation and create contracts in SAP GSI.
- Ensure the on-time delivery and quality are secured especially during the ramp-up phase of the project
- Monitor Procurement project KPIs, QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
- Ensure work package sheet commitment respect
- Coordinate project with all métiers
- Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
- Responsible for cost follow - up of indirect materials, indirect service, installation
- Measure the supplier's performance
- Assess properly all risky suppliers and manage the associated mitigation plan
- Manage initial issues before escalation to line manager/function manager
Expected competences:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree
- Minimum of 5 years Buying and/or Sourcing professional MNCs background
- Respect Alstom Code of Ethics and guidelines
- Ability to work in a matrix environment
- Able to manage multiple priorities autonomously and respect deadlines
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills, Team spirit and presentation skills
