Purpose of the job

• Lead/ supervise (as the role of work package leader or technical leader) the implementation/ verification/validation activities for IXL SA, OCS, PDCU SA products according to the Interlocking Engineering Process (IEP), Engineering Manual Object Controller System OCS950, and Adapt Design & Design Application Process (ADDA).
• Lead/ supervise (as the role of work package leader or senior engineer) the implementation/ verification/validation activities for the Balise Application product (AWS) according to ATP Wayside Engineering Process (AWEP).
• Ensure the completeness of work package delivery to meet the design requirement, the design process, the engineering budget and the project milestones
• Perform independent design of interlocking site data product and provide the evidence documentation of review results.
• Provide Technical support to projects, team members and other interface functional teams

Key responsibilities
1.    Work Package Leader:

• Lead to deliver and overseeing all activities related to wayside specific application work deliverables.
• Working on design requirements and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the completeness of design inputs.
• In charge of documenting the design review process and providing evidence of completed work.
• Lead to hold regular meetings with team members to communicate project progress, identify any critical issues, and manage them through resolution.
• Participate in project activities such as client meetings, internal progress meetings, and customer support initiatives.

       Technical Leader:

• Lead to provide technical solutions to support wayside tenders and projects. 
• Demonstrate the effective utilization of technical skills and REX in wayside signalling and cybersecurity during pre-tendering, tendering phases, and project execution phase.
• Providing cost-effective solutions to clients while also imparting their technical knowledge to team members and helping them build up their own IXL technical skills.

2. Provide technical support to other related functions.
3. Assist in the preparation of bids and tenders.
4. Share lesson learned by present finding errors / provide objective feedback to develop team and communicate the findings to colleagues.
 

Qualifications & Functional Knowledge
Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field

Relevant experience required

• 5+ year working experience in a related field
• Experience in railway signalling fields will be advantage
• Experience in work package management or project management
• Have a basic knowledge of SQL Command, programming and logical thinking
• Familiarizing in configuration management, change management and requirement management tool
• Understand application design and test methodology 
• Good interpersonal skill, good command of both speaking & written English
• High responsibility, solid analytical skills with good problem-solving abilities
• Flexible, self-learning, self-motivated, team-player, willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership skill

Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role

• Experience in wayside signalling application design will be advantage
• Experience in Unix, Linux and Network & Communication will be advantage
