We are currently seeking an enthusiastic IS&T Business Partner to join our team and partner with our businesses and IS&T Teams to provide best practice IS&T support for Alstom throughout East Asia, Singapore & Malaysia.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The new IS&T operating model focuses on business value and innovation while delivering operations excellence:

  • Understand the business’ roadmap and align it with the IS&T roadmap.
  • Development of cost-efficient services and standard solutions.
  • Improvement of performance, efficiency and agility on business-as-usual activities with focused KPIs.
  • Usage optimization.

Intimate and value focused advisor:

  • Effective and proactive demand management • Proximity with key stakeholders from regions and business (IS&T partners, SPOCs, …)
  • Reliable & skilled functional teams involved in strategic business roadmaps.

Digital Watch player:

  • Technology watching around digital on Rail.
  • Ability to lead & deliver few proof of concepts.
  • Proactive investigations on market products and best practices.

The IS&T Business Partner , reporting to the Digital Services Regional Head is responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong relationship with cluster and accountable for the IS&T satisfaction in the cluster. Frequent travels are required, evaluated around 20% of the time and to be aligned with the business strategy and needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & AUTHORITIES:

Key accountabilities:

1. Interface to Business: The IS&T BP will be responsible to partner with Business – Product Lines and Functions on:

  • Participation in Bids / Tendering to provide IS&T costs.
  • Understand the cluster’s strategic business roadmap and its impact on IS&T roadmap and, articulate the same to IS&T. Ensure cluster business roadmap is aligned with central roadmap.
  • Demand Management: Capturing and analysing the IS&T demand and driving it to the correct governance bodies for validation and implementation.
  • Liaise with IS&T towers and Business for timely project landing (Infrastructure, Workplace, Business Solutions).
  • Timely Communication and Change management activities to businesses on all IS&T Topics.
  • Responsible with Local Operations for cluster participation Customer Satisfaction and Ensure cluster overall satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder management (IS&T towers, vendor partners, SPOCs, Business stakeholders etc.…).
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with other APAC BP team members as one cohesive team.

2. ​​​​​BaU Efficiencies:

  • Be an integrator between different functions by using IT systems as a platform.
  • Manage IS&T budgets at cluster level with other stakeholders – finance, business, sourcing, IS&T towers.
  • Improvement of performance, efficiency and agility on business-as-usual activities with focused KPIs.
  • Enable continuous improvement in IT operations, IT Security and system performance by handling at the cluster level.
  • Manage Cluster Operations / Crisis Management: Work with Local Operations, Run and Project Performance teams as needed to manage IS&T Service to the Cluster. Compliance of Service Delivery with SLA (with contract manager in the operations team). Formalize issues, follow up and escalation with operations teams with timely communication to the business.
  • IT Cluster Technology Strategy Development and landing key IS&T initiatives. Cluster action plan if requested (performance issue, cost reduction).
  • Provide consulting level support and guidance through key IT initiatives; proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of respective functions.
  • Manage audits at the site both ICQ campaign and AFNOR.
  • Manage the LDR sanctity along with site facilities team.
  • Manage Power Shutdowns, Changes pertaining to the cluster.
  • Supporting the Site MDs of respective sites for IT related operational issues or project execution.

3. Project Management:

  • Liaise with PM for delivering end to end project ensuring we do not miss OTD.
  • Collaborate with IS&T towers to ensure solution compatibility with company standards.
  • Highlight project RISK, change in deliverables than initial scope.
  • Ensure Stakeholders are informed and manage escalations.

4. Promoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES & REQUIRED COMPETENCE

Educational Requirements

Mandatory: Graduated with an engineering degree, preferably in information technology.

Experience

Mandatory:

  • 12-15 years of experience in IS&T / business relationship management.
  • IT professional demonstrating excellent leadership, management skills & behaviours.
  • Significant experience of leading an IS&T team and working with senior business users in delivering IT services in a large organization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation (ppt, excel), leadership, stakeholder management and change management skills. Strong communication cadence with reporting manager, business stakeholders, IS&T stakeholders and peers.
  • Good understanding of infrastructure technologies, ERP, having worked in an agile environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Project Management with attention to details.
  • Ability to demonstrate Alstom values of Agility, Inclusion and Responsibility.
