Deliver / organize the delivery of the Supplier Quality activities during the development phases of the projects:

  • Build SPQD (Supplier Quality Development Activities) organization and manage associated teams
  • Interact with Sites & Projects in the Cluster to anticipate and deliver the Supplier Product Development activities
  • Conduct the necessary activities with suppliers and internal stake holders to ensure First Article Inspection Go on time
  • Organize the REX by commodities

Develop teams and improve efficiency of the organization

  • Animate the Supplier Quality Cluster  network 
  • Contribute to the assessment of the Supplier Quality competences within the Cluster
  • Support, develop and deploy programs with the Quality School as appropriate - Ensure that the process of qualification for this community is under control and meets expectations
  • Propose and lead synergies/improvement actions within the Supplier Quality organization
  • Consolidate and analyse Supplier Quality workload within the Cluster, give orientations in term of budget and strategy for the Supplier Quality organization to Cluster Quality Director.
  • Analyse the improvement needs in Supplier Quality local organizations and support associated action plans. Ensure autonomy of the cluster in the delivery of SQ activities and trainings

Develop and deploy Supplier Quality Processes and Sharing of good practices

  • Represent the voice of the cluster in Supplier Quality management team.
  • Contribute to the definition and the continuous improvement of Alstom standard processes for Supplier Quality (function standards, processes, tools, methods) and ensure they are appropriate, lean and efficient regarding Cluster challenges.
  • Ensure their smooth and efficient deployment within the Cluster, in all product lines, relying on global Supplier Quality expertise when needed.
  • Align Supplier Quality within the Cluster on Alstom Supplier Quality ways of working.
  • Be the ambassador of “one Alstom Supplier team” within the Cluster
  • Contribute to the deployment of “Global SPQD Hub”, and other cross-regions programs within the Cluster.
  • Ensure good practices are identified and shared within the Cluster and with other Regions / Clusters

Strengthen Suppliers performance within the Cluster

  • Develop the right sense of urgency within the organization and at Suppliers to cure quality & safety issues.
  • Animate Non-Conformity reactivity & resolution process.
  • Drive actions and continuous improvement plans to ensure proper deliverables from suppliers at development phase and reduce the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ), the Non-Conformity Report (NCR), recurrent defects and warranty issues due to Suppliers.
  • Coach local teams to ensure customer protection & root causes analysis.
  • Ensure Region feedback to Procurement, Supplier Quality Development teams and other Regions with relevant data
  • Manage Top Supplier issues: review top offenders by Country/site, ensure proper application of color code escalation and support definition of exit conditions 
  • Propose and follow action plan with main suppliers to reach targets, when sites face difficulties
  • Contribute to Suppliers Risks management with Procurement in lead
  • Lead Supplier quality warranty issues (8D) in cluster  

Support the Cluster to meet Supplier Quality Excellence

  • Deploy Supplier Quality objectives within the Cluster, in line with Region Quality and Alstom Supplier Quality (Product validation: FAI Go on Time, Non-Conformity (NCE/m€, warranty, problem solving - 8D timely resulotion etc.)).
  • Ensure the on-time consolidation, the analysis, the review of Cluster Supplier Quality results & purpose and lead any relevant actions to meet the targets.
  • Ensure the on-time and the right quality of data in the Supplier Quality Portal.
  • Ensure the Supplier Quality workload is monitored within the Cluster (budget and actual)
  • Frequent travels required for the position – Domestic and International

Experience:

  • 10 years of experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Procurement, or equivalent
  • Quality tools experienced (eg problem solving/Risk management tools)
  • Manufacturing Processes knowledge
  • Experience in managing  suppliers
  • Knowledge of railway industry (norms, certifications…)
