The APAC Communications Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of the communications strategy to promote Alstom’s image, support business growth, and coordinate all transverse communications actions across the region. The responsibilities are primarily on internal communications, but the role would be required to support media relations and event management occasionally.
The role oversees many aspects of communications and requires a confident self-starter who can manage senior stakeholders, work autonomously, and take initiative to lead issues and generate strategies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Liaison with all the country communication heads to manage the region communications calendar
- Manage the region intranet and the region newsletter
- Develop & manage all region communications & CSR tools- Presentations , audio-visual library, region information on the internet
- Managing the follow up of the region budget with clusters and finance
- Support in the development and execution of the communications strategy for East Asia and Singapore Malaysia
- Manage execute presence and activity on LinkedIn
- Manage all transverse projects across the region e.g. Site rebranding
- Support all region functions in pan-region communication programmes
Minimum Qualifications:
The incumbent should demonstrate excellent communication skills and able to guide, influence and convince others in a matrixed organization. The role calls for strong presentation and project management skills.
- 5-6 years post-qualification experience in communications and events management
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); command of additional language (written and spoken) would be a plus
Proficient in excel, Power point and the various digital media channels
- Strong experience in managing internal and external Owned channels, including but not restricted to SharePoint, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook.
- Strong project management skills
- Hands-on and motivated by challenging work
