Purpose of the Job:
The Project V&V Manager within TMS Project Engineering Group, as member of Project team, is in charge to manage and coordinate TMS Subsystem Validation and Verification activities at Product, System and Project levels, in the scope of standalone or platform level projects in India and other world countries.

Direct report line to Department Head / Metier Leader or Group Manager ( V&V )
Dotted report line to TMS Leader

Validation Leader, TMS Leader, Integration Leader, HMI Leader, Solution Architect, Project Architect


•    Participates in the definition of the validation test strategy, in accordance with:

  • Sub-System requirement
  • System architecture
  • Signaling Principles

•    Write the project Verification and Validation plan.
•    Co-ordinate, manage and monitor Verification, Integration and Test activities at Product, System and Project levels, write test specification.
•    Ensure the coverage of requirements all along the project, ensuring that testing (via various means) provides a full coverage to guarantee a correct implementation of the requirements: functional requirements and safety requirements.
•    Perform full verification or validation of all parameters and data produced on the project
•    Performs Test Campaigns, analyzes and validates the results, and writes the test report.
•    Establishes the traceability matrix, in cooperation with the other project stakeholders.
•    Ensuring functional coordination across a matrix organization.
•    Qualify the baseline to FIVP (Restriction and runtime configuration + Tools) with release notes.
•    Support T&C team on CR analysis and act as an interface for the sub-system team.
•    Contributes to continuous improvement (ROE, process, tools, automation …)


Technical Knowledge / Experience:
•    Bachelors or Masters in Electrical  / Electronics / Computer Science / Communications / Instrumentation Engineering
•    10+ years of demonstrated experience in Software / Functional / System testing
•    Experience of 3-4 years in managing V&V teams.
•    Software Verification & Validation methodology and processes.
•    Ability to apply internal process required for TMS validation and System performance
•    Ability to prepare/setup automatic testing
•    Ability to understand system modelling & simulation methods
•    Basic Knowledge of IT architectures (client/server, workstation/Blade, IP networking, routing) and SQL databases.
•    Knowledge of OOPs concepts, Scripting (InstallShield/VB/VBA) OPC, XML, SQL and Networking fundamentals is desirable.

•    Basic knowledge of Signaling Principle and Rules.
•    Project Management and Agile Scrum master certification (PMP, CSM etc.) will be an added advantage
