Internal: All Project V&V leaders will be reporting.who in turn network with project team (Engineering, Safety, RAM, T&C, PrCOM, PrIM, System Engineering team,Platform team)

External :  Project Cusotmers, Consortium teams, Project Operators,  ISA etc ;

 

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

  • To organize  and manage project V&V leaders, who in turn leads the Verification, Integration and Test activities to ensure the delivery of a
    complete, correct and accurate Customer Solution in line with various Project contractual requirements: documents, hardware, software and data.
  • To define and execute for the global project solution, including all subsystems layers, all the V-cycle
    activities related with in-house validation (Verification, Integration, Testing), managing the activities
    exported to T&C for site execution, acrosss all projects handled by Bangalore RC.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the application and adherence to the reference  processes  methods and tools, requesting
    waivers whenever appropriate.
  • Oversee the Kick off meetings , organised by V&V leaders, with Project Design team for input document verification, subsystem
    and system testing.
  • Manage CAPEX for Procurement of Lab Items – Alstom and COTS hardware  for System Test Lab
  • Review the project Verification and Validation plan, written by V&V leaders.
  • Review  the Requirement Validation Table (RVT), co-ordinating the importation of requirements from
    design team, and exporting and importing the requirements (e.g. safety reqs. from Safety team and
    reqs. validation to T&C for site testing)..
  • Oversee project Verification, Integration and Test activities, handled by respective project V&V leaders.
  • Oversee full verification or validation of all parameters and data produced on the project.
  • Oversee the V&V leaders activities like, Organise and lead verification and validation documents reviews.
  • Review the  project solution verification and test reports, completed by V&V leaders.
  • Ensure independence of verifiers from authors of the verified deliverables
    Provide the required reports as defined by TIS Processes and/or specifically required by the Project, e.g.
    change request reporting, etc.
  • Implement initiatives to continuously improve the responsiveness of the section / organization to customer/business needs / good practices

Qualifications & Skills:

 

EDUCATION

Bachelors in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation)

Required  Experience / Skill Set

  • Possess advance working knowledge in signalling and more importantly in the following areas:
  • Team Management
  • Good understanding of the CBTC system and the system architecture.
  • Knowledge of quality processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in system verification and validation activities

 

 

Competencies desired in following areas:

  • Managing V&V leaders of their respective projects.
  • Managing /mentoring the team size of (~20+)  V&V leaders.& Validation Engineers
  • Flexible and resilience to work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Team orientation
  • Aptitude to understand design and translating it into working functionalities
  • Aptitude to think in an integrative manner to identify and solve potential problems in design inputs, tools and problem reports raised by V&V.
