Overall Purpose Of The Role
As a V&V Designer, you will demonstrate that a software or software component fulfills its intended use when placed in its intended environment (real or simulated).
You will interface with System, project, and Quality teams to meet QCD commitments.

Responsibilities
Part 1 of the mission:
• Contribute to the elaboration of product/system specification & architecture, in collaboration with the Product architect/ System Engineering Manager
• Perform SW activities:
• Define the validation strategy
• Specify, design and develop the validation environment & tools (test bench, recording tools, simulated I/O, …)
• Establish validation procedures and criteria
• Ensure requirements traceability according to product Requirements Management Plan
• Perform validation:
Run the validation procedures (tests, …)
Produce validation results report and associated Change Requests (defects)
Put the validation work products under configuration management according to product Configuration Management Plan
• Keep informed of the evolution of technologies through techno watch
• Contribute to TIS standardization by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions
• Keep a strong link with the architects and designers through the whole V&V cycle
• Apply organization processes and standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement (ROE, process, …)
Part 2 of the mission:
Manage the V&V up to sub-system level by performing the following tasks:
Contribute to the definition of the technical management plans
Organize and lead the V&V activities up to sub-system level so that to ensure QCD commitment, till the end of V&V activities up to sub-system level :
Coordinates V&V activities
Alerts the reporting structure for any event that could impact V&V QCD commitments
Establishes the consolidated reporting on his WP
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor/Post Graduate in Engineering – IT, CS, ECE & EEE or Equivalent
Technical Competencies & Experience
3 + years of experience in Software Testing, Requirement Based Testing with exposure to ADA/C and RTRT/VectorCAST tools.
Good knowledge in SW Module/functional and integration testing
Good knowledge of testing techniques like black box, boundary value analysis, Robustness analysis
Knowledge of any configuration management tool and workflow management tool is essential (ex. ClearCase, ClearQuest, ...)
Understanding of regression analysis
Knowledge in Railway Signaling Domain is a huge advantage
Behavioral Competencies
Ability to work as an independent contributor and communicate directly with customer
Be Innovative and define test automation strategies, reusable solutions
Ability to perform peer review and provide constructive feedback to team members
Ability to learn quickly the technology domain.
