Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your expertise in verification and validation within a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and highly motivated team of professionals.

You'll play a key role in delivering validation campaigns aligned with test plans and test cases in real or simulated environments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including system, project, product, quality, and safety teams, ensuring QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments are met. You’ll also contribute to workload estimation, align with scheduling, and ensure adherence to strict processes and standards.

You’ll specifically take care of functional testing at sub-system or system levels, as well as designing and validating test environments and tools, but also perform investigations on defects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing functional testing using NI TestStand tools and related verification activities

  • Specifying and designing overall tests, including test architecture and test cases

  • Preparing and conducting test sessions, producing test reports, and raising associated change requests

  • Developing and validating test environments and tools

  • Ensuring test traceability against requirements

  • Managing V&V work products under configuration management

  • Collaborating with global teams to address challenges and deliver solutions

  • Ensuring adherence to software, V&V, and safety processes

  • 4+ years of experience in verification and validation of complex embedded systems

  • Experience with requirement/functional-based testing on host and target-based environments

  • Proficiency with NI TestStand suite

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation

  • Experience in defect management and functional defect identification

  • Problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes in complex systems

  • Experience with tools like ClearQuest, Git, Reqtify, and DOORS

  • Familiarity with standards such as CENELEC SIL4 or DO178B

  • Knowledge of communication protocols like TCP/IP

  • Domain knowledge in railway signalling is desirable, but experience in avionics or other engineering domains is also welcome
