Transformation & COE SC Engineering Leader

This job is part of the Alstom India Supply Chain organisation, location on-site, India

The India Supply Chain covers all the Alstom businesses in India: Rolling Stock & Components, Services, Signaling and Systems & Infrastructure (D&IS).

The key missions of the India Supply Chain are:

• To create a robust and agile Supply Chain to support the Growth plans in the region
• To align India Supply Chain practices to the Global Supply Practices adopted for Alstom worldwide.
• To standardise processes, metrics, review mechanism across all businesses and sites in India
• To lead Supply Chain “métiers” and competencies

The India Global Supply Chain is based below sub-processes:

• Supply Chain Planning & Hard Inventory
• Material Planning & Supplier Relationship Management
• In-Plant Logistics, Transport-Customs
• Project SC & Services

You shall be reporting hierarchically and functionally to Director - Supply Chain. As a Transformation & COE SC Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for:

• Adopting the Global best practices in Supply Chain and deploying them in India
• Driving improvements in all sub-processes which will be reflected in the KPI score card for India Supply Chain Operations without compromising controls
• Supporting the Site Supply Chain teams in improvements in the APSYS (Alstom Performance System) maturity score
• Providing Technical know-how in design and execution of Supply Chain projects either in greenfield sites and/or brownfield sites.

Hierarchical Reporting and functional reporting to Director - Supply Chain.

• Site Supply Chain Heads
• Site Managing Directors
• Project Supply Chain Managers/Leaders
• Central Supply Chain team / Sub Function Heads
• Cross Functional Team (Finance, Procurement, Advance Industrialization Team etc..)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Define and roll-out the supply chain strategy, priorities in-line to business goals & responsible to animate the progress periodically with key stakeholders.
• Good knowledge of supply chain processes & tools and responsible to drive SC strategies to optimize cost & achieve business excellence
• Hands on experience, Technical know-how Design for Logistics, Packaging, WH design and Line feeding for heavy industry. Will be pivot, responsible to establish & lead COE SC Engineering supporting Alstom sites / projects across regions.
• Responsible in demonstrating strong leadership, structured problem solving & stakeholders management with strong influencing skills.
• Responsible to lead Digital Transformation and to adopt technology to simplify, innovate to gain efficiency (Lean mindset).
• To be pivot & the first point of contact for central supply chain team for all new / transformation initiatives.

SKILLS & EDUCATION

• Degree holder in supply chain, logistics, transportation, business management, or associated discipline
• Languages: English fluent, French appreciated

• Good working Knowledge of Alstom Tools-SAP MM & WM, CATIA, ANSYS etc..
• Experience: Should have around 10+ years of relevant experience in below & expert in min one
  • Supply Chain Operations & Transformation (Certification : Agile, Lean Six Sigma etc..)
  • Warehouse Design, Packaging (Certification from IIPM or equivalent )
  • In Plat Logistics Flow Management (Experience in Heavy industry would be an added adv)
• Experience in Greenfield site is desirable
