Could you be the full-time Train Operations Solution Expert in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your transportation operations and digital transformation expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, forward-thinking, and innovative teammates.

You'll play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the future of Train Operations solutions at Alstom. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., solution architects, IT partners, and regional stakeholders), facilitate functional workshops, and contribute to the design, validation, and deployment of digital solutions for Train Operations.

You’ll specifically take care of defining and supporting the Target Operating Model for Train Operations, but also ensuring alignment with Alstom standards and providing functional expertise across regions.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Participating in RFP (Request for Proposal) processes to identify target digital solutions for Train Operations.

  • Facilitating functional workshops, gathering requirements, and documenting AS‑IS and TO‑BE processes.

  • Developing a deep understanding of end-to-end Train Operations processes such as scheduling, rostering, crew management, dispatching, and resource allocation.

  • Translating business needs into detailed functional specifications and ensuring alignment with architecture and product teams.

  • Supporting solution architects in preparing TO‑BE solution designs.

  • Preparing validation scenarios, executing end‑to‑end testing cycles, and ensuring compliance with business requirements.

  • Contributing to global deployment activities, including data preparation, process harmonization, cutover readiness, and training.

  • Managing IT partners during configuration, testing, and deployment activities, ensuring adherence to the Train Operations Core Model.

  • Providing functional expertise and guidance for Train Operations digital solutions across regions.

  • Ensuring documentation, updates, and knowledge transfer within the Digital Services organization.

  • A degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on Information Technology.

  • 8–10+ years of experience in the transportation operations domain (e.g., scheduling, rostering, crew management, train assignment, depot operations).

  • Experience with digital transportation operations tools such as Hastus, IVU, Trapeze, Goal Systems, or other planning/operations solutions.

  • Experience contributing to digital transformation projects related to operational planning or mobility operations.

  • Demonstrated ability to write functional specifications and perform complex process modeling.

  • Strong analytical, structured, and problem-solving mindset.

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills for global and multicultural environments.

  • Ability to model operational processes and translate needs into technical requirements.

  • Autonomy, proactivity, and ability to drive topics with multiple stakeholders.

  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with several time zones.

  • Strong leadership in vendor management, partner coordination, and scaling solutions globally.

  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
