Could you be the full-time Traction System Engineer in Bangalore, KA.
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside innovative, dedicated, and solution-oriented teammates. You'll define the architecture and functionalities of traction drives or auxiliary converter systems, technically leading engineering studies to achieve compliance with initial performance requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Mechanical Engineers, SW Engineers, Product Technical Managers, as examples), optimizing transverse requirements and much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Collect discuss and optimize requirements with rolling stock team. Refine and allocate technical requirements internally in the Eng team, where you are responsible for full requirements fulfilment
- Defining full traction system architecture and functionality
- Ensure the traction system fulfils the requirements and customer needs in terms of mechanical, functional and performance perspective.
- Leading and ensure quality in the system design reviews
- Defining and participating in validation strategies, participate in train commissioning
- Be able to make technical trade offs in design changes of a traction system
- Drive technical project execution with technical solutions and QCD improvements
- Issue resolution and drive internally
- Act as the traction expert towards customer in discussions

- Master's degree in electrical engineering with 10 – 12 years of experience.
- Experience or full competence of traction and/or auxiliary converter engineering
- Power electronics engineering experience
- Knowledge of product and system architecture design
- Railway market, especially Indian railways
- Familiarity with project management and risk mitigation strategies
- Proficiency in English
- A certification in project or engineering management (beneficial)
- Able to work in a multicultural global environment
