Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your dimensional management expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.
You'll play a key role in driving dimensional management activities at the architecture level and below, ensuring seamless integration of design and assembly processes to meet geometrical requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including design engineers, manufacturing teams, and quality assurance professionals, to support key design decisions and drive continuous improvement in our processes.
You’ll specifically take care of defining and managing tolerances for train and car-level geometrical performance, but also support designers in defining subsystem interfaces.
We’ll look to you for:
-
Driving Dimensional Management (DM) activities from architecture definition to serial production by applying Métier referential (Engineering Instruction, guidelines, and processes).
-
Ensuring train and car-level geometrical performance meets customer, functional, and operational requirements.
-
Specifying tolerances to ensure compliance with infrastructure and trainset constraints.
-
Clarifying assembly processes with relevant stakeholders, including Method and DFO (Design For Operation).
-
Providing stack-up calculations to justify tolerances and supporting engineers in decision-making.
-
Contributing to layout reviews, interface documentation, and supplier specifications.
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
-
Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, tolerancing, or metrology (or equivalent).
-
5-8 years of experience in mechanical design or integration.
-
Strong knowledge of dimensional metrology, GD&T (ISO and/or ASME), and stack-up calculations.
-
Proficiency in technical drawing interpretation and creation.
-
Experience in training facilitation and animation.
-
Proficiency with presentation tools and Excel (VBA desirable).
-
Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a networked team environment.
