Could you be the full-time System Engineer Traction - Diesel Power Pack in Bangalore we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your traction and energy expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dynamic and collaborative teammates.

You'll play a key role in managing the "Provide Traction and Energy" function at the train level, ensuring top-notch performance and seamless integration. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (including Project Managers, Sourcing, Engineering Teams, and Certification & Validation teams), coordinate technical studies, and oversee subsystem design and implementation.

You’ll specifically take care of developing system requirements and specifications, as well as engaging with suppliers to ensure technical excellence, but also lead competency enhancement and skill-building for team members working on Diesel Power Pack projects.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Performing transverse requirement allocations to various subsystems in close collaboration with specialists

  • Developing and managing requirements based on standards, certifications, and customer needs

  • Defining the HV architecture, operational modes, and functionalities

  • Writing subsystem specifications and architecture descriptions

  • Managing supplier relationships, including technical purchasing specifications and design reviews

  • Defining and executing train verification strategies

  • Preparing train-level test specifications

  • Resolving technical open issues during train revenue service

  • Providing regular project and metier-level reporting

  • Contributing to Return of Experience for continuous improvement

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a specialization in Automotive Engineering

  • Experience or understanding of traction systems and energy management

  • Knowledge of subsystem integration and validation processes

  • Familiarity with supplier management and technical purchasing specifications

  • A certification in project management or relevant specialization

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Proficiency in English (French language skills are a plus)
