OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE 
He/She will act as a Business Analyst and should use data to outline problems, opportunities, and solutions for businesses and report them back to the stakeholders in the organization. He/She will play a crucial role in fixing outdated data flows into BI, driving new technology adoption, and innovation. He/She will play an active and influential role in driving requirements for core functions like Supply chain/Industrial Operations/Sourcing/Finance/HR and Quality Operations analytics. He/She is expected to lead/coordinate cross-functional Business case development across various functions.

 

In addition, they will also be responsible of first level development and subsequent improve the Dashboards/Reports designed for IS&T. The ideal candidate should have a sound understanding of data models, design and the visual elements using BI Reporting Tools like QlikSense, Power BI. They will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and consistent reporting in the final product being delivered to the functions. 

 

The role will be a BI Specialist supporting various functional core team in driving sustainable business improvements.

Location:Position will be based in Bangalore 
Willing to travel occasionally for onsite meetings and team workshops as required 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: - 

Review data and help the business define Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Translate Business case/requirements into functional specifications.

  • Understand the high-level business processes and requirements. Gather business requirements from the BPO, EU, KU users. Create test case scenarios for end-user acceptance testing, Build ad-hoc reports for business data analysis based on end-user requirements.
  • Build and develop data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. ability to quantify impacts, customer first, waste elimination, increased productivity, iterate quickly, shorten feedback loop, experience creating relevant KPIs) to improve the service delivery
  • Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting with comprehensive policies and processes.
  • Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modelling
  • Combine complex data sets to provide actionable insights for KPI Improvement and enable faster decision making.
  • Maintain technical (desirable) and service domain (must have) subject matter expertise to provide input on future roadmap decisions.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of business, data, application and technology architectures.
  • Provide service domain level expertise on projects, BCM, and operational efforts related to BI.
  • Partner with IT Enterprise & Solution Architects, Project Managers and business unit stakeholders to understand business requirements and how they align to existing roadmap solutions and capabilities.
  • Work with project teams during design, development and execution to ensure alignment to existing roadmap and reference architectures.
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure their solutions continue to meet our business needs.
  • Develop, oversee, and evangelize best practices.
  • Keep Techno Functional artefacts up-to-date.
  • Ensure collaboration Functional Architectsasbusiness cases are setup for each initiative,collaborate with other analytics team to drive and operationalize BI deployment.Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results.  
  • Strong ability to take the lead and be autonomous. Proven planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.Ability to drive change through innovation & process improvement. Be able to report to management and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.  
  • Prepare and deliver design proposals to user, management and executive levels
  • Ask appropriate questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints.

 

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE 

To be considered for this role, candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes: 

  

EDUCATION 
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or industry-related curriculum

 

Technical

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in reporting and analytics domain.
  • Relevant experience of using Business Intelligence tools (such as QlikSense, QlikView or Power BI) develop reporting systems integrating various sources of data.
  • Strong understanding of Data Integration, Data Model, Data Transformation and Data Visualisation.
  • Understandable knowledge of ERP Systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of different connectors for integration of different data sources
  • Solid understanding in Databases and reporting queries.

 

Business

  • Experience in working with Manufacturing and Transportation Industry
  • Strong domain knowledge in any one of the streams such as Sourcing, Supply Chain, Quality, Industrial Operations, Finance and HR to understand how the applications within area of focus work & add value to deliver BI/Analytics need aligning to business processes.
  • Understanding of all aspects of Manufacturing and Transportation Industry functions and processes.
  • Strong Experience analysing data, information and business processes acumen.
